Creating coherent long-form AI-generated film narratives that maintain visual and narrative consistency across extended runtimes — while producing work that feels cinematic rather than algorithmic.
The core challenge wasn't generation quality — modern AI tools produce stunning individual frames. The problem was continuity: character consistency, lighting logic across scenes, narrative coherence, and the human editorial eye required to shape raw generation into something that feels intentional. Every tool wanted to be used in isolation. Nothing talked to anything else.
I developed a modular pipeline that treats AI generation as one layer in a traditional filmmaking workflow — with storyboarding, scene breakdown, and continuity documentation at the front end, and human-directed editing, color grading, and sound design at the back. The result is a process that produces 20-40 minute AI-assisted films with genuine narrative coherence.
The pipeline uses stable diffusion variants for visual generation with ControlNet for pose and composition consistency, custom prompt libraries organized by scene type and lighting condition, and a proprietary continuity document system that tracks visual elements across scenes. Post-production happens in a traditional edit suite with all AI generation treated as raw footage.
